Remaining competitive, motivating staff and total reward strategies are key themes to be tackled by speakers at the largest benefits exhibition and conference in Europe - Employee Benefits Live.

While the recession is a thread running through all the sessions, speakers will suggest ways to remain competitive, improve productivity, reduce absence and review benefits. The aim is to show delegates the importance of tackling these issues so their firms emerge well when the economic good times return.

The two-day event, on 29-30 September 2009 at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, will include 32 conference sessions. Following last year's huge success, all are free to attend. Entrance to the exhibition is also free to delegates who register online.

Each day of the event opens with a free keynote session. Back by popular demand is Jeff Grout, the motivational speaker and author, to inspire HR leaders to come through the recession successfully. He will speak on the second day of the conference.

This will be followed by a special session focusing on the requirements all reward professionals need to know about recruitment in the current market, both for themselves and potential recruits.

n All sessions are free but need to be booked in advance online.
