Sterilin is to introduce a new stakeholder pension scheme with contributions paid via salary sacrifice, after switching providers.
The manufacturer of equipment for the life sciences industry has changed provider from Prudential to Johnson Fleming. As before, the employer pension contribution will be 7.5%, with a minimum of 4% put in by the employee.
The new scheme and salary sacrifice element go live this month, after a series of pension seminars at all hours to fit in with employees’ shift patterns. Nichola Morden-Tew, HR manager at Sterilin, said: “We are a three-shift operation, so Johnson Fleming had to meet people in the ungodly hours we work, whether midnight to 8am or 4pm to midnight.”
