Stephen Gambles leaves Alliance and Leicester

Stephen Gambles left his position as reward and benefits manager at Alliance and Leicester in January to become reward manager at private equity firm Alliance and Medical.

Gambles was with Alliance and Leicester for almost two years before it was acquired by Santander in October 2008. After the acquisition, he continued to be responsible for reward for Alliance and Leicester but also worked to harmonise reward and benefits at Santander.

During his career, Gambles has also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he looked after flexible benefits and spent time as a consultant before taking on the role of reward manager.

After leaving PWC in 2004, Gambles became compensation and benefits manager for AAH Pharmaceuticals.
