EXCLUSIVE: In July Spectrum Housing Group added GymFlex, a discounted gym membership to its voluntary benefits scheme, and has plans to add a bike to work scheme.

This follows a 54% take up of the voluntary benefits scheme, ‘MyBenefits’, which is offered through Asperity Employee Benefits.

Launched in April, it offers 3,000 discounts on different brands to the firm’s 770 employees.

The scheme was implemented following a staff survey which found that reward and recognition were important to the employees.

Barbara Baker, divisional director of human resources at Spectrum, says: “Part of the vision is to make Spectrum a great place to work.

“The introduction of an employee discount scheme is one of the initiatives that we hope will improve employee engagement and promote Spectrum to others as a good employer.”
