Shaw Trust has increased its flexible benefits take-up after switching provider, and has launched voluntary benefits.
In March, the charity appointed Vebnet to run its flex scheme after experiencing administrative problems with its previous provider. Of its 1,200 eligible employees, 40% have opted to take part in this year's scheme, compared with 35% last year.
The company-branded scheme automates the benefits application process for staff and enables them to flex up or down on a number of perks – with the exception of holiday and pensions – outside of the annual flex enrolment period.
Paula Lye, corporate services manager at Shaw Trust, said: "As soon as the employee starts [with the organisation], there are certain benefits they can flex immediately, whereas previously they would have had to wait for the [enrolment] window to be open each year. "Our previous system was quite cumbersome in terms of the employees' experience and the administration that went behind it."
The charity's 1,600 employees can also access its new voluntary benefits plan via the online flex platform.
