SBJ Group acquires pension firm EB Consultants

Employee benefits consultancy firm SBJ Group has announced today that it has acquired EB Consultants, a specialist fee-based actuarial and pensions administration firm.

The expansion will see Surrey-based EB Consultants, which employs 50 people, come under the banner of SBJ in the new year, when the company will be rebranded under the name Bluefin.

Chairman John Wait will retire following the acquisition after playing a major role in building EB Consultants over the last 35 years.

John Simmonds, chief executive of Advisory Services, which owns SBJ, said: "The addition of EB Consultants to our group further strengthens our strategic position in the corporate market."
