Something for the weekend …

MPs may be seeing more of the number of the beast, or rather blurring lights, as Iron Maiden’s specialist ale has been stocked in the House of Commons’ drinking hole.

The Strangers’ Bar, which regularly hosts guest ales, introduced the beer after Mike Weatherley, MP for Hove, suggested that the Trooper Ale would be a ‘real treat’ for honorable representatives to enjoy.

But the heavy metal influences needn’t stop at Satanic beverages.

MPs could listen to the demonic riffs of Black Sabbath to get motivated, drink bat’s blood to reinvigorate their health and maybe even introduce a Harley Davidson-to-work scheme.

Or maybe not…
