Something for the weekend…
A parrot has just landed a job at the theme park Legoland and could well expect some nice relocation benefits.
Charlie, a 32-year-old macaw, will relocate from her home in Pickering, north Yorkshire to the famous theme park in Windsor.
She beat out stiff competition in a ‘parrot-in-residence’ talent competition by being able to play dead.
She was given the job over Tracey, a scarlet macaw on a scooter; Zico, a dab hand with a tiny trolley; and Jethro, the loot-hoarding macaw.
Hopefully, her new employer will offer relocation benefits, such as moving costs, food fees and accommodation.
Legoland might also want to teach the clever macaw some new tricks by paying for training and development when its new employee relocates or even a language course to help Charlie do more than play dead.
So let us forget Britain’s Got Talent because Legoland’s got Parrots!
