Injury management and rehabilitation provider RehabWorks has acquired employee assistance programme (EAP) and corporate wellbeing provider Right Corecare, which trades as Right Management Workplace Wellness.

The two organisations have previously collaborated to deliver health and wellbeing programmes to organisations. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening the providers’ position in the corporate wellness market, and will enable RehabWorks to offer EAPs for the first time.

RehabWorks’ offices in Bury St Edmunds will continue to serve as the organisation’s headquarters following the acquisition. Together, the firms will have around 162 employees and a number of centres around the UK.

Andy Holdcroft, chief executive officer of RehabWorks, said: “We have been looking for the opportunity to incorporate an employee assistance programme because we see it as such a key aspect of improving wellbeing and performance within today’s demanding workplace.

“Bringing the exceptional expertise offered by Right Corecare under our brand means we can do that with a very established and trusted partner. We see a huge advantage for executing our strategic plans in the public and private sectors.”

Jayne Carrington (pictured alongside Holdcroft), managing director of Right Management Workplace Wellness, added: “We are really excited about these developments because of the scope and opportunity it now provides us in continuing to offer best-in-class services and to support our customers’ investments in employee health and wellbeing.”
