PricewaterhouseCoopers has added a bikes-for-work scheme and family dental cover to its flexible benefits plan.

The benefits were rolled out to its 14,000 staff on 1 October following a renewal period which closed last month.

Carolyn Wilkinson, senior employee benefits manager, said changes to NHS dental funding in April had prompted the company to extend its dental insurance scheme to family members.

It introduced the bikes for work scheme to take advantage of available tax breaks. But Wilkinson added that while employees had shown interest in the Halfords-provided scheme, she did not expect a high level of take up: "If we get 1% we'll be doing well."
