Punter Southall has created a new business, called Aspire, that will provide pre- and at-retirement services.
Aspire will provide a number of pre-retirement services, including annuity broking. It will also provide pre-retirement counselling to educate people on the impact of retirement and how to develop a sustainable income stream.
Aspire will work with Punter Southall’s corporate clients as well as in partnership with providers, banks, employee benefits consultants, financial advisers and affinity groups. Aspire’s full platform will launch later this year.
The new venture will be led by Stephen Greenstreet and Rob Tinsley, who both previously worked in executive roles at Origen.
Greenstreet said: “There are several broking platforms available in the market currently but Aspire will deliver additional vital communication and guidance in the run-up to retirement, helping individuals fully understand and appreciate the importance of using the open market option and making the right decisions.”
John Hamilton-Hunt, financial management managing director at Punter Southall, added: “There’s a demand for the blend of skills and background we can offer. We’re here to help people make the right decisions at retirement and bringing in the experience of [Greenstreet] and [Tinsley] will help to develop Aspire into a market-leading presence.”
