Punter Southall has acquired the occupational pensions business of Brewin Dolphin.
Brewin Dolphin has been a Punter Southall actuarial and pension administration client for 19 years.
Upon completion of the transaction on 1 October, the team at Brewin Dolphin team will move to Punter Southall’s Newcastle offices, bringing over 100 corporate pension schemes with them.
Richard Thomas, director of pension administration at Punter Southall, said: “The acquisition will allow us to continue our expansion across the UK.
“With the introduction of auto-enrolment next year, pension provision will become even more important to businesses across the UK.”
Charles May, head of Brewin Dolphin in Newcastle, added: “We believe Punter Southall will be a very good home for these employers and our 14 colleagues.
“This specialist pension administration service is a small division of our business.”
