A number of public sector employers have taken up a fully-managed payroll service from Logica.
These include the Civil Nuclear Police Authority, the National Lottery Commission, the Office of Rail Regulation, The Communities and Local Government, and Government Offices for England.
The shared-service model, which Logica developed in conjunction with with OCGbuying Solutions, integrates HR and payroll functions by creating a single database of employee information.
Patricia Taylor, director of Logica's HR and payroll business in the UK, said: "The more departments that take up the service the better the price per payslip for all customers, making it a win-win situation for everyone in terms of cost reduction and efficiency.
