Premier has launched a specialist charities unit, which will offer a range of pensions, benefits and actuarial services for charities, not-for-profit organisations and educational establishments.

It has also set up a charity pension team, which will be led by John Reeve, head of consulting services (pictured).

Reeve said: “We are acutely aware of the challenges and financial pressures these types of organisations face.

“As difficult economic times continue, we wish to help charities improve member benefits, save money and reduce risk exposure. Our costs will be based on fully-inclusive fixed fees, which we believe should help organisations on small budgets and help those who have to have close scrutiny paid to how they spend their donor’s money.

“We can offer a range of ideas to help charities reduce their benefit spend, or get more from their existing spend through de-risking, scheme design and management of issues such as auto-enrolment.
