Ticketmaster and communications provider BI have introduced a benefits product that offers preferential tickets to key sporting, music and cultural events.

Ticketmaster Corporate Priority promises employees an online and telephone purchasing outlet for 50,000 events including West End theatre shows and football matches. It aims to brand online employer sites to legitimise the booking of after-hours entertainment at the workplace.

BI managing director Richard Bandell said employees could access a variety of entertainment, so he expected that all staff would be able to participate. The company estimated that people attend an average of four live events annually.

Discounts are offered for bookings of over 10 people and are targeted at company social clubs. There is also limited access to tickets before general release. There is a fee of £2 to £8 per employee, depending on the size of the workforce.
