Something for the weekend…

New Year, new me might be a modern cliché but with the first week of January coming to a close there could be some food for thought for benefits professionals over what they might do with their New Year’s resolutions.

One obvious resolution to keep the workplace happy and healthy, and themselves, and encourage staff to hit the gym to beat that Christmas bulge and boost their fitness with corporate gym membership.

Or how about introducing free fruit into into the workplace to replace all the naughty treats that were doubtless floating about at the end of last year?

Perhaps a new reward and recognition programme for employees could help them to beat the January blues.

Employers focusing on staff fitness though, may also want to review their health and wellbeing benefits to look after staff who manage to do themselves an injury.
