Those that may have been tempted to save money in this area, however, may be deterred after a recent incident on Morroccan television when an employee brought their child into work.
Lena Alwash, a presenter on the Northern African country’s Medi 1 channel, was reading the news live on air when her daughter wandered onto the set wielding a smartphone at Alwash.
Undeterred, the presenter carried on as if nothing had happened.
Reports her employer has now begun investigating childcare benefits for staff are unconfirmed.
