Mercer has completed its acquisition of Pensjon and Finans, a Norwegian-based financial investment and pension consulting firm.

The acquisition was first announced at the end of January.

This strengthens Mercer’s position in the provision of pensions and investment advice in the Nordic region and gives employers working with Pensjon and Finans access to Mercer’s range of services.

Espen Klow, chief executive officer at Pensjon and Finans, will now take up the role as head of investment consulting at Mercer in Norway.

Nicolai Berg, head of Mercer's Nordic investments business, said: “Mercer is committed to the Nordic investment business and is expanding its business at a time when employers are demanding greater resources and depth of expertise from consultants.

“Pensjon and Finans has strong relationships with employers in the Norwegian market. The combination of the two firms allows us to provide even more services for employers and greater opportunities for our employees.”
