Mercer appoints John Anderson as head of UK health and benefits

Mercer has appointed John Anderson as head of its UK health and benefits business.

Anderson joins the consultancy from Axa PPP Healthcare where he spent 20 years, most recently as director of new business development. His previous positions with the healthcare provider included leadership roles for the SME [small and medium-sized enterprise] markets, sales and marketing, and operations.

David Levey, head of health and benefits for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Mercer, said: "John originally trained as an accountant and business consultant, and has a rare combination of financial, strategic and operational experience within the healthcare sector.

“This will be invaluable as he leads our business through a major growth initiative in the UK."

Anderson will replace Monica Santiago who was transferred to Mercer in Portugal.
