Manchester Airport is to launch a pensions newsletter to encourage staff to save for retirement.
The newsletter, which is due out within the next two months, will complement information about the organisation’s closed defined benefit and group personal pension schemes contained in its staff handbook.
John Hampton, head of group reward and employment policy, said the airport was keen to provide its 3,500 employees with more information. “The newsletter will go out three or four times a year and will promote the benefits of the pension schemes.”
He added that the organisation will not initially use the internet or email to contact staff with pensions news, but these will be considered once the newsletter is up and running.
