One of the biggest drawbacks of going to work is that it gets in the way of other things, whether that be watching an entire series of Mad Men in one sitting or spending time with loved ones.

A fleet of long-distance lorry drivers, however, has been able to achieve a greater work-life balance by driving around with 13-metre-long pictures of their families on the side of their trailers.

Over the next three months, four drivers, who work for the Savage Haulage yard in March, Cambridgeshire, will be accompanied by images of their family members as part of an arts project called Take Me With You, which is exploring the theme of absence.

Driver Lindsey Scott, said: "I find it hard being away from my family five days a week, so I guess this is the next best thing."
