Something for the weekend: Commuting in the capital can be a nightmarish experience, especially if a sweaty and overcrowded tube is the main method of transport. However, telecommunications organisations Three and ZTE are looking to brighten up the morning journey into work this week by offering commuters a ride to the office in a unicorn-drawn carriage.

The brightly coloured ‘Unicabs’ feature white horses sporting multi-coloured manes, pulling a carriage roomy enough for four lucky commuters, helping staff to start the day in a positive, and some might say 'magical', frame of mind.

The unique taxi rides are running for three days this week between 7.00am and 11.00am, picking up office staff at Monument station on Wednesday 26 October, starting services from Southwark on Thursday 27 October, and transporting travellers in Canary Wharf on Friday 28 October.

Here at Employee Benefits, we’d love to take our commute from delayed trains and tubes to a fantasy unicorn ride to beat the commuter blues…
