Law firm Linklaters has launched a new website to provide employers with information and guidance on employee share plans and executive pay. It includes share plan information, guides to age discrimination and accounting rules, as well as links to relevant material such as share dealing rules and HM Revenue & Customs' share plan site. It also includes news articles and technical notes.

Graham Rowlands-Hempel, a partner in Linklaters Employee Incentives Team, claimed employers needed quick access to information on potentially complex share issues. "The biggest issue is age discrimination. There is a lot of information available but companies need quick and easy access to [it] without trawling the web or through databases," he said.

He added that the company also intends to add an e-learning resource to the site. Initially, access to the website will be free to all users although Linklaters plans to limit some future content to its clients.
