The John Lewis Partnership has made healthcare cash plans available for its entire workforce.

All of the partnership’s 69,000 employees now have access to a cash plan after the benefit was introduced to an additional 1,000 staff in May.

All under 18’s are covered on the plan free of charge while partners can be added for the same additional price. Employee payment options vary between £1 and £6 a week.

The cash plans, provided by HSA, provide cash back for dental, optical and physiotherapy bills, and were first introduced to staff back in 1991.

Dan Barnard, benefits manager for leisure, said: “As a supportive employer we think a healthy and happy workforce is of paramount importance.”

In order to promote the benefit, briefings were held with staff and information was sent out via email. A promotional video was also filmed and screened in the staff area at the John Lewis store on Oxford Street.
