JLT Employee Benefits has formed a global partnership with health and wellbeing provider Vielife.

The partnership will enable JLT Employee Benefits to offer Vielife’s online health and wellbeing platform through its online benefits management system, BenPal.

Employers using BenPal will be able to access analysis available through Vielife’s system to identify the health needs of their employees and offer appropriate benefits. For example, if stress is flagged as a prevalent issue in a particular location, the employer could introduce a dedicated initiative for that group to help staff recognise the signs of stress and assist employees in developing coping mechanisms.

Initially, the integrated platform will be available to BenPal users in the UK and Ireland, before rolling out to all JLT Employee Benefits’ employer clients globally.

Steve Cottle, head of global partnerships at Vielife, said: “Employers are becoming increasingly aware of the impact an employee’s health can have on productivity in the workplace and absenteeism, and are starting to take steps to help their employees make better lifestyle choices.

“JLT Employee Benefits’ [employer] customers will now be able to closely analyse the health needs of their employees and, via BenPal, use our platform to engage with them and encourage behavioural changes.”

Nick Boyton, principal, healthcare and risk at JLT Employee Benefits, added: “As a global organisation with a presence in 35 countries, we needed to partner with an organisation that could engage with all of our [employer] customers on a worldwide basis.

“Deploying an international online [platform] is integral to many [employers’] needs and we believe this approach works effectively and drives employee engagement for both our international and UK-based [employer] customers.”
