JLT Benefit Solutions launches iPhone pension modeller application

JLT Benefit Solutions has launched a pensions modeller application for use on the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The defined contribution (DC) modeller, which will be available for download on iTunes from 7 June, is a personalised pension modelling tool for organisations that use JLT's BenPal system as its pension and benefits data management platform.

The pension modeller app allows the user to personalise assumptions and values, add pension plans from previous employment and adjust the key variables.

A version will also be available for the iPad.

Charlie Carrick, solutions director at JLT Online Benefits, said: “The best way to encourage UK employees to engage with their pension is to make it simple to understand and easy to access.

“With the BenPal system already available to clients via iPhones as well as PCs and laptops, the development of a modeller app is a natural progression for us. We hope it helps the wider community to appreciate pensions planning in a DC world means taking greater responsibility and personal control, and having a bit of fun at the same time.”
