Thanks for the informative flexible benefits supplement in September’s magazine.
A key piece for me is how flex continues to change and develop. The concept of flex is a much more varied proposition now than it used to be, with organisations increasingly confidant to pick and choose the elements and approaches that suit them and their business needs rather than being driven by a one-size-fits-all approach.
It is also vital to engage with the business to understand what you want to achieve and why. Flex has become such a catch-all term for a broad range of possibilities. Rather than introduce a new programme, it may be more effective to make the most of what you’ve already got by developing them into ‘benefits with flexibility’.
Coupling this refresh with a voluntary benefits programme could be the recipe for success that provides benefits with a broad appeal across your full demographic and results in making a real and helpful difference to employees’ lives.
