John Lewis sees cinema voucher demand increase

EXCLUSIVE: John Lewis has seen a 173% rise in take-up of its cinema vouchers since it rebranded its Cinema Benefits portal in March.

The portal, provided by Filmology, allows employees to log in and buy discounted cinema vouchers for over 440 cinemas around the UK, including Cineworld and Empire cinemas.

More than 25% of employees have registered on the portal and are using it on a regular basis.

Iwan Bradshaw-Hughes, manager of leisure benefits at John Lewis Partnership, said: “The web portal streamlines the purchasing process, making it less technically challenging.

“This empowers employees to purchase vouchers, giving greater access to a positive benefit, something proven by the uplift in voucher sales.”

John Lewis employees have been able to purchase discounted cinema vouchers for five years as part of the employee benefits package.
