IPC Media has run a health and wellbeing roadshow at its Croydon office in order to identify which onsite perks would be popular at the 250-employee workplace.

The firm that publishes magazines such as Marie Claire held the roadshow over one day, during which employees were offered samples of the health benefits that are commonplace at the media firm's head office in London, such as onsite massage and onsite pilates classes.

Members of staff were treated to four 30-minute pilates classes and ten-minute massages throughout the day.

Employees then had the chance to fill out forms and request which benefits they would like to see on offer in Croydon.

Ashley Bestwick, reward manager at IPC Media, explained: "We haven't really got a service running in Croydon as it is a slightly smaller population [compared to head office], but we wanted to give them every opportunity to register interest with us and if we get enough interest then we will look to set something up."

The onsite massage was popular among the Croydon-based employees and the firm plans to have this benefit in place within a month.
