InTechnology is offering its staff the chance to take part in a free wellness programme designed to help eradicate back injuries amongst employees.
The IT specialist is teaming up with FitBack to run a week-long scheme designed to help cut down on a recent spate of back problems, as well as broader wellness issues.
Rachel Dixon, HR manager, said: “In one week we had six people off with back-related pain, so it is becoming a bit of a problem. [The scheme] means that staff won’t have to take time off work. They can attend classes during work hours to learn exercises that help strengthen the back, relieve back pain and help prevent problems in the future.”
The scheme will initially be offered to the firm’s 180 head office staff this month, then rolled out at the London and Reading sites with plans to run a FitBack week for all staff each quarter.
“It’s not just trying to combat the problems caused through working, but also trying to improve their general quality of life,” Dixon added.
