0Incisive Media has switched providers for its employee discount scheme and extended the perk to its 135 US and Hong Kong-based staff.
The new scheme, also introduced for its 650 UK staff in November, is provided by Asperity Employee Benefits.
The firm's previous scheme was provided by The Voucher Shop. Emma Cutbill, benefits manager at Incisive Media, said: "Because it was part of our flexible benefits scheme, staff had to choose the amount they wanted deducted from salary. But they had to pay for the vouchers to be sent via registered mail, so that negated the discount. If the vouchers were sent by first-class post, they were not insured, so if they did not turn up, they were lost."
The launch coincided with the run-up to Christmas so staff could use the discounts for their festive shopping. Cutbill added: "With everyone tightening their belts, I thought it would be a really good idea to add it to our mix of benefits."
Almost 200 staff registered for the programme in its first week. The most popular discounts were on fashion and accessories, food and groceries, and home and garden products.
