Iceland has revamped its benefits offering by introducing an online and paper-based voluntary benefits scheme in a bid to improve staff retention.
Previously, the supermarket chain had various standalone voluntary benefits in place.
The new scheme, provided by Asperity, offers employees access to discounted shopping at stores such as Comet, Sainsbury's and Dixons, and reduced rates on gift vouchers, insurance products, banking services and cinema tickets.
Employees with internet access can make purchases through a dedicated voluntary benefits website. Those without internet access have been sent a brochure listing all the deals, and a telephone number to call to make purchases.
Staff will be notified of new voluntary benefits and seasonal offers via in-store posters and team meetings with managers.
Debbie Peel, HR operations manager at Iceland, said: "We are hoping this will make a difference to the spending patterns of employees, and be another reason to stay working at Iceland."
