The Housing Corporation is to add environmentally-friendly perks to its voluntary benefits plan.
Green benefits have been requested by staff and will include a cycle-to-work scheme and discounts on magazines written on environmental issues. Information on green cars and eco-friendly travel will also be included online.
Ian Sanders, reward consultant at the government agency, said that the environmental theme was in line with the organisation's core objectives. The Housing Corporation plans to unveil the new benefits to staff in May.
In the same month, it will also pilot a financial education programme.
