Home Retail Group has introduced an online health assessment programme to help improve employees' wellness and increase their awareness of the health and wellbeing benefits available to them.

The online test is free for all 54,000 staff and can be accessed from work or home. It takes about 20 minutes to complete and provides individuals with a health analysis.

The retail group, which owns the Argos and Homebase chains, launched the benefit in October through BHSF. Once an employee has completed the assessment they can receive advice on areas such as diet, exercise, sleep and stress. All employees were given a booklet providing information on existing benefits, such as the health assessment, the employee assistance programme, discounted gym memberships, and discounted health and dental plans.

Debbie Cam, group benefits manager, said: "Home Retail Group is keen to promote the benefits of a healthy and balanced lifestyle, as well as to provide employees with support at a time when everyone's finances are being squeezed."
