Gillian Hibberd has taken on the role of corporate director (people and policy) at Buckinghamshire County Council.
This follows a merger of the council's organisational development and human resources service, and the policy and performance service. Hibberd's new role was created following the retirement of Gerry Batchelor, corporate director (policy and performance) retired.
Hibberd was previously corporate director of organisational development and human resources. "I am looking forward to leading the new service and ensuring that people and policy issues remain at the heart of the organisation," she said.
