The awards follow the news that Health Shield has passed the 200,000-member mark for the first time in its history, in addition to being named in The Sunday Times’ ‘100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to work for’ for the second year running.
Health Shield was also the only UK cash plan provider in the top four of this year’s Laing & Buisson report to have increased its market share every year for the previous five years.
Jonathan Burton, chief executive at Health Shield, said: ‘These tremendous achievements have been accomplished by our commitment to continuing to improve our already high member satisfaction levels. Our 2014 survey found 92 per cent of our members regarded their experience of dealing with Health Shield as “good” while 97 per cent said that we turn around their claims quickly.’
