Finance professionals value health insurance more highly than their company pension overall, according to the Robert Half International Financial directions survey 2007.
When 5,200 financial professionals identified the perks they value from a predetermined list, health insurance proved to be the most popular, with 39% of respondents selecting the benefit, compared with 32% who opted for the company pension.
Flexible working also turned out to be a popular benefit, with a third (33%) of finance professionals valuing the perk.
A quarter (25%) said they valued extra holiday, while 27% appreciated the benefit of either a car allowance or a company car.
The least popular benefits were a travel allowance (valued by 19% of respondents), stock options (16%) and the use of a laptop, personal digital equipment (PDA) or BlackBerry (15%).
