Groupama has launched a cycle-to-work scheme in a bid to encourage staff to reduce carbon emissions and improve wellbeing.
The insurance firm will buy the bikes from Halfords on behalf of its 800 staff and employees will pay the firm back through a salary sacrifice arrangement over a maximum of 12 months.
Paul Picknett, corporate services director, said: "This is a great tax and national insurance-free opportunity to buy a bike and equipment. It's all part of our commitment to be a good corporate citizen and a great place to work. We have been pleased with the interest generate by the pilot launch and anticipate further take-up at the next opportunity for staff so sign up, in October."
