Grant Thornton has held a staff wellbeing week across its 30 UK sites.
The week included events such as including healthy cooking demonstrations, food allergy testing, exercise classes, health advice and workshops on nutrition, and back and joint care. Fridge magnets also were handed out to all employees which included information about recommended daily intake of salt, sugar and fats.
In addition, staff could access to downloadable yoga exercises to do at their desks to improve posture and alleviate back pain. The firm also brought in an image consultant to offer advice to staff on how to look and feel good.
Margaret Bowler, head of corporate responsibility at Grant Thornton, said: "Grant Thornton takes its responsibilities towards its employees very seriously. It goes to the very heart of being a responsible employer and employer of choice. Happy and healthy staff lead to a more productive workplace."
