Go North East has switched the provider of its voluntary benefits scheme.
The bus organisation introduced its new scheme, Save on the go, at the end of June, because it offered more diverse communications options than its previous scheme.
The new scheme, which is provided by Personal Group, offers the organisation’s 2,100 employees more than 8,000 discounts and savings at well-known retailers, as well as a health cash plan for staff and their dependents.
The scheme can be accessed via a web portal or a smartphone, which is suited to its 1,800 employees who are not office based.
It was communicated to staff through face-to-face presentations, and all employees received a booklet so that those without access to the internet could still choose their benefits options using their mobile phone.
David Curry, operations director at Go North East, said: “We know that the benefits programme is hugely popular, so we have been reviewing it to see if it could be even better and we are pleased to launch this scheme.”
