Employees at IT firm Fujitsu Services are to go on a three-day strike next week following a dispute over pay, pensions and jobs.
The strike is set to commence on 12 November following around 700 of the firm's 1,596 union members voting in favour of industrial action.
Unite is protesting at plans for 1,200 redundancies, closure of the final salary pension scheme to new members, and a proposed pay freeze.
In a letter to Fujitsu's chief executive this week, Unite asked the firm's bosses to guarantee no compulsory redundancies and continue the pensions consultation until at least the end of January. A decision on the pensions changes is due later this month.
A spokesperson for Fujitsu Services said: "We would express our disappointment on [the decision to strike] as we are still involved in consultation on our pension scheme and the [reduction in] head count."
