EXCLUSIVE: Law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has opened a new health suite at its London head office and launched a website to bring all its health and wellbeing benefits under one brand.
The health suite includes an on-site GP, dentist, nurse, physiotherapist and masseuse. There is also an occupational health programme, a free gym offering 40 classes a week, a parent and baby room, a contemplation room for staff with religious needs, and a revamped locker room and bike store.
Jackie Palmer, senior manager, compensation and benefits at Freshfields, said: “We have had an office refurbishment that has enabled us to expand our on-site gym to double the previous size.”
The Be Healthy website, provided by Axa PPP Healthcare, has postings about all on-site wellbeing offerings, plus other health benefits, including private medical insurance, off-site health screenings, on-site mini health screenings with Nuffield Health, discounts on external gyms, an employee assistance programme, and a medical helpline.
“We are trying to tie it all together and jog employees’ memories about the health and wellbeing benefits,” said Palmer.
Freshfields has also added a quick-response (QR) code to the communications for its mortgage brokering service. The service, provided by Charles Cameron and Associates, has been taken up by 200 employees.
