Absence management provider FirstCare has acquired Active Health Partners (AHP), increasing the number of employees it services by 80%.

The increased volume of real time absence management data – over 100,000 employees – gives FirstCare the ability to build on specialist knowledge and use data to help large businesses reduce sickness absence.

Aaron Ross, CEO of FirstCare, said: “As well as enhancing the occupational health services we offer clients, the acquisition will allow us to offer their clients access to the tools we have developed that have helped reduce absenteeism so successfully. We look forward to forming close relationships with our new clients and continuing to help our existing clients improve absence management practices so that they contribute positively to bottom line."
