First Choice Holidays is to roll out its salary sacrifice benefits package to an additional 500 employees after acquiring several organisations within its activity holiday division. The package, which includes private medical insurance, holiday trading, childcare vouchers and pension contributions, will be in place for all staff from November. Kate Wild, reward analyst for the international travel company, said that the aim was to standardise the benefits on offer to its 8,000 workers. "In the activity sector, they aren't known as being First Choice. We've got [brands such as] Exodus and Waymark. They've kept the same name and some of them have kept their own benefits.
We're targeting some of those tiny companies - some may have 100 staff and some may have 20 - and trying to make sure all employees get the [same] benefits." She added that this was needed before the company could expand the number of perks it offers. "We're quite a large organisation and we're just trying to make sure we're communicating to all parts of it."
