The Financial Ombudsmen Service (FOS) has relaunched its flexible benefits scheme in a bid to drive employee take up.

The organisation, which first introduced flex in 2004, achieved take up of around 80% last year, but it believes that employees' awareness of some of the benefits is still not high enough.

To enable it to connect with staff more effectively, FOS decided to communicate the scheme in a more light-hearted way by publishing a bright booklet written in a chatty-style.

The plan, provided by Jardine Lloyd Thompson, includes perks such as holiday trading, and a cycle-to-work scheme.

Employees' choices took effect from last month, after the enrolment period closed at the end of May.
