More than eight-out-of-ten (84%) finance professionals are currently satisfied with their salary and benefits package. According to the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Cima)/Robert Half Finance & accounting salary survey 2008, the most popular perk among the institute's members is a pension scheme, valued by 88%.

Bonuses are the second most popular benefit among Cima finance professionals, valued by 63%, followed by healthcare (62%). The average bonus they currently receive is £12,300 per yearOnly 37% of Cima finance professionals can work flexibly, however, 23% said they would like to be able to.

Of the 1,935 finance professionals surveyed online, 28% receive a bonus of less than £5,000 per year, 19% receive a bonus of between £5,000 and £10,000, and 16% enjoy a yearly bonus of between £10,000 and £25,000.
