Something for the weekend …
Fans of American television sitcom The Big Bang Theory could be left without their weekly fix of the lovable nerds after the sitcom’s stars boycotted the set on 30 July in a row over pay.
Stars Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg did not return to work for the first day of production on the eighth series of the popular sitcom.
It appears the actors, who play highly functioning science geeks, would also like to be highly paid, requesting $1 million (£584,000) per episode.
According to The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Parons, Cuoco and Johnny Galecki currently earn $325,000 (£190,000) per show.
Not too shabby to sit around an on-set living room, eating takeaways and chatting with friends.
