Almost half (46%) of organisations no longer award staff an across-the-board annual pay rise or cost of living adjustment, according to the Annual reward management survey from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. The survey also reveals that three-quarters (75%) of employers use a combination of individual performance, market rates and team progression to determine levels of employee pay rises. Only 40% of employers plan to amend their current scheme or introduce new bonus schemes during 2008.
