Toshiba Information Systems has introduced an employee discount scheme as part of ongoing efforts to improve the benefits on offer to its 250 UK staff.

Following an employee survey in April 2011, the consumer electronics firm learned that employees were interested in having access to discounts through the benefits package.

The scheme, which is provided by LogBuy, also hosts the organisation’s employee product purchase programme so all discounts are now in one place.

Communications to employees included: a teaser banner on the intranet one week before launch, a firm-wide email and information pack including a LogBuy discount card on the day of launch, posters around the office, and an article in the internal employee magazine.

Zoe Robinson, compensation and benefits specialist at Toshiba Information Systems UK, said: “We were keen to expand our range of voluntary benefits, as well as meeting our employees' needs in what is a challenging economic climate.

“Our employees will now have easy access to a wide variety of national and local discounts.”
