Selex Galileo has re-launched its online voluntary benefits scheme, adding in a new interactive discounts website with over 8,000 offers, reloadable gift cards and SMS vouchers, to cater to its high-tech employee base.

The defence electronics firm’s 4,000 employees all have access to computers at work. The enhanced ‘Your Xtras’ programme, provided by Personal Group, includes multiple channels of use, including phone, internet and SMS text.

Andrew Letton, head of employee relations, and compensation and†benefits at Selex Galileo, said: “We felt the offering had to be web-based so employees could access it from home or on their mobile. As befits a technology organisation, the re-launched benefits package takes advantage of modern technology.

“Everybody has their own preference on how they do things, whether they use the phone or go online, so it does offer a greater choice.”

The new benefits were communicated through the firm’s intranet and company notice boards, paper booklets, and monthly online promotions.
